10km Fibre Installation in Jervis Bay (for Downer Group)

Superior HDD was contracted by Downer to install 10km of 110mm HDPE for a DFN Fibre install from Sanctuary Point NSW to HMAS Creswell at Jervis Bay Village and finishing at Wreck Bay Aboriginal Village. Superior HDD deployed 3 x All Terrain drill rigs to this project and completed the whole install in 40 days. This was a huge accomplishment with 80% rock encountered for an environmentally sensitive project.

33kV Feeder Installation- Ultegra

Superior HDD was contracted by Ultegra to complete a 200m drill shot at Camden Valley Way, Prestons. This drill shot was required for a new 33kV Feeder route. Superior HDD utilised a Ditch Witch All Terrain drill rig for this installation, 3 x 180mm HDPE conduits and 2 x 140mm HDPE conduits were installed in a bundle inside a 550mm bore hole. Ground conditions encountered was a mixture between rock, shale and clay. SHDD completed the installation in a total of 7 days.

Water Main Installation for Glen Innes Severance Council

Superior HDD was utilised by Glen Innes Severance Council to do various water main upgrades throughout Glen Innes. The water main upgrades consisted of 200mm to 350mm HDPE conduits installed through the use of HDD. Superior HDD also installed a 350mm overflow drain between the two water catchment reservoirs for the township. This drill shot was drilled on grade through granite. Zero LTI’s or issues encountered whilst meeting all of our client’s milestones.

12km Fibre Installation in Cessnock (for Downer Group)

Superior HDD was contracted by Downer to install 12km of 110mm HDPE for a DFN Fibre install from Pokolbin to Cessnock NSW. Superior HDD deployed 3 x All Terrain drill rigs to complete this project, on time and to budget. The job was a great success with varying ground conditions, another main installation running incident free.
